Cemetery along the edge of Lake Corpus Christi..south of Dinero, Texas. This cemetery was for those folks that worked on the ranch through the years. At the time of these photos, Lake Corpus Christi was encroaching on this graveyard.

29°20'07.9"N, 99°25'41.1"W. On the West Banks of the Ranchero Creek, what I believe was the original settlement, called Sabinal. Due to drought, and disease, the survivors of this settlement moved to the east banks of the Sabinal River, renaming it from "Hammer's Station" to "Sabinal", that We know today.

29°18'51.8"N, 99°29'12.68"W. After losing His first wife, Mary Elizabeth Watson, to drowning. Peter Rheiner married Mary Josephina Santleben, and lived in a rock home just west of the Sabinal River, that still stands today.

29°20'00.5"N, 99°33'02.9"W. Mary Elizabeth was the wife of Johann Peter Rheiner. She is credited for saving the life of her 1 year old daughter, Ettie, who had fallen in the swollen banks of Blanco Creek. Little Ettie later married John Nance Garner, vice president of the United States. Peter Rheiner, later remarried Mary Josephina Santleben, and lived on the West bank of the Sabinal River

29°14'29.67"N, 99°27'31.20"W. Cemetery for the "Patterson" Settlement, approximately six miles south of today's Sabinal. Also buried here is John Bowles, killed by indians on Pilot Knob, on the same day as John Davenport.

A few hundred yds. on CR307, just off of CR 301, you will find the graves of Jasper (Casper) Wish, his wife Nancy Teresa Kelly Wish, and their daughter, Almeda Isabel Wish Price. Jasper and Nancy had 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls. There are a number of Wish's buried in Waresville Cemetery, in Utopia,Texas.
